A Board-Certified Genetic Counsellor You Can Trust

Ms. Yoyo Chu
Certified Genetic Counsellor
Ms. Chu is a Certified Genetic Counsellor with over 13 years of clinical experience, and the very first to be certified by the Human Genetics Society of Australasia in Hong Kong. After earning her Master of Genetic Counselling from the University of Melbourne in 2012, she returned to Hong Kong in 2013 to pioneer genetic counselling services across paediatrics, prenatal, reproductive, and other genetic sub-specialties. Her expertise spans the public sector, academic research, and direct-to-consumer testing, giving her a broad and practical perspective in the field.
In 2025, Ms. Chu founded Aegis GenCare Limited, a private practice dedicated to expanding access to high-quality genetic counselling for individuals and families, while helping them navigate appropriate testing and resources with confidence.
Beyond patient care, Ms. Chu is committed to advancing the profession. She currently serves as President of the Professional Society of Genetic Counselors in Asia, contributes extensively to professional education and development, and advocates for greater public understanding of genetics.
